About Lisa Walters, Certified Professional Dog Trainer
Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Lisa Walters, has been providing community outreach programming and fostering care and respect for clients and animals since 1995. Lisa’s dog training career has expanded throughout Southeast Wisconsin, Illinois, and Florida where she has been fortunate to work with many families, animal shelters, vet hospitals, day care facilities, kennel clubs, schools, and non-profit organizations.
Lisa designs and teaches curriculum for group classes including; puppy basics, adult manners, advanced manners. She provides private in-home training sessions, behavior consultations and assessments and is experienced working with aggressive and reactive dogs. Classes are fun, upbeat and use reward-based and clicker training methods. Lisa is a Tellington TTouch Practitioner and uses other complimentary holistic modalities such as use of essential oils, flower essences and a Japanese form of energy healing called Reiki. She has been a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers since 1997 and was certified that same year as Service Animal Access Specialist through the Delta Society. Soon after, Lisa served as Director of Training for a non-profit service dog organization training assistance dogs, integrating clients with their new dog and the required state statutes and ADA laws. She is also a member in good standing with the Association of Professional Humane Educators, Association of Animal Behavior Professionals, and the Humane Society of the United States.
